Volunteerism is bad???

“Are we running out of volunteers in this country? I mean, Americans are some of the most caring and generous people in the world. Are we trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist…?”~Glenn Beck

Yeah, right. Every volunteer need in this whole country is currently being met. There are no children who need a tutor after school. There are no lonely, elderly people in nursing homes who would enjoy a visit. Parks are litter-free. Meals on Wheels is turning away potential volunteers. Soup kitchens and food pantries have waiting lists for people who want to volunteer. *rolling my eyes*

"A thousand points of light" was an inspiration but any encouragement to volunteer now is a leftist, socialist, "Hollywood", Maoist attempt to take away your freedom. Oh, brother.

Glenn, there are medications that can help you.

This lunacy at Fox has got to stop... doesn't it? It's scary and sad that so many people watch Fox and can't see that they are getting a steady diet of fear mongering, right-wing propaganda. I am thinking about starting a betting pool on when (not if) Glenn Beck will snap and have to resign from Fox for "medical reasons".

By the way, I discovered your blog because a friend of mine (Amy) included the link to this post on her Facebook page.

Hi Malcom. I'm glad you found me and hope you'll continue to read my rants and ramblings.

Let me know when you start that betting pool. I want a piece of that action. ;)

Hi there! I randomly stumbled across your blogging on here and it's great! You know that the world is heading to hell in a han basket when doing something Jesus loves, such as volunteering, is frowned upon. Jesus is coming soon my friend!

Lisa Marie,
Thank you so much for your comment. I just got a chance to take a look at your blog. I'm impressed and am now following you. I tried to leave a comment but the comment box wouldn't come up for some reason. I see that you are on Facebook. Feel free to send me a friend request if you'd like. I love getting acquainted with new people.
